Theme Park History

Epic Universe, Universal Orlando Resort’s highly anticipated fourth theme park, is NOW OPEN. First announced in 2019, this ambitious project was briefly delayed due to the pandemic but resumed development in 2021. Epic Universe is Universal’s largest theme park expansion to date, covering over 750 acres—nearly doubling the resort’s size. The park  features five immersive lands, including Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park. Epic Universe is designed to transport guests to fantastical worlds beyond imagination, marking a new era of theme park innovation in Orlando.

For travel from May 22 to December 31, 2025.
