Animal Connections
There are many different animals that you can encounter that are included with your resort stay at Discovery Cove. They do change frequently and you can see who will be showcased on the day of your visit via the Discovery Cove app.
I have met a sloth, a Tawny Frogmouth and an armadillo on different visits.
Theme Park History
Opened in 2000, Discovery Cove is a unique, all-inclusive day resort in Orlando operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. Designed to offer a more intimate and immersive experience than traditional theme parks, Discovery Cove invites guests to relax in a lush tropical oasis while enjoying unforgettable animal encounters. One of its signature experiences is the opportunity to swim and interact with dolphins, but visitors can also snorkel among tropical fish and rays in The Grand Reef, hand-feed exotic birds in the Explorer’s Aviary, or float along the Wind-Away River. With limited daily attendance, gourmet meals and beverages included, and a focus on up-close animal experiences, Discovery Cove provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of Orlando’s busy attractions.
